Indiana Jones and the Honorary Caesar

It is for his career that Harrison Ford received an honorary César this Friday, May 18 during the 48th ceremony which took place in Cannes.

Who doesn't know Harrison Ford ? This former carpenter who became famous thanks to his roles as Han Solo in Stars Wars and the Indiana Jones pentalogy, truly began his acting career with American Graffiti in 1973.

Then followed in 1977, Star Wars: A New Hope and his most emblematic role, Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981.

Then, he will take over the main roles with Blade Runner (1982), witness (1985), Mosquito Coast (1986) or even Frantic in 1988.

The 90s will also allow us to have great roles like that of Jack Ryan in Hunting for Red October, Doctor Richard Kimble in The fugitive.

It was therefore legitimate that this outstanding actor received an honorary César for his entire career. He will show great emotion at the announcement of this prize, declaring “I am deeply touched by this distinction”.
