I'm rewatching the first season of

Magical for me at the time, The mysterious cities of Gold rocked my childhood like a whole bunch of cartoons from the time. Today I would raise her to the same rank as Captain Flam or Ulysses 31. Because mixing mysteries, enigmas and many other exciting things.

Several decades later, new seasons were produced from 2012. But just by seeing the drawing style of the trailer, I was already quickly disappointed. The new seasons are available for free on France 4 as Goldorak, Tom Sawyer And many others.

The colors and drawing style are no longer the same, making everything much less natural.

After seeing season 1, I wanted to see the following seasons. So I did some research and came across the commentary of Eric Malbos psychiatrist who has a fairly good analysis of the seasons following that of 1982.

But when I think about it, that hardly surprises me. It started in 1982, then it started again in 2012. We took a formula that worked in its time and we made a sequel which no longer really corresponds to the original work, riding on the nostalgia of a prosperous era but gone.
